Job Description

This role is with a renowned communications agency based in the Southeast. Primarily specialising in events, they partner major brands to develop their internal teams, supplier base and staff. An award winning agency, they have grown year on year.

The Web Developer will be responsible for managing the maintenance of all technical aspects of the company’s existing websites including the development of new modules, functionality and all-new portals on behalf of their blue-chip clients.

This is a very hand’s on role and will require the successful candidate to take lead of the agency’s in-house technical development capability to include all website maintenance. The role will more specifically involve website development support and maintenance for all client sites, managing website development budgets with third party suppliers and managing a hosting environment.
 
Qualifications

Experience as a front-end web developer is essential along with user interface design and database development. Highly technical, you will have a sound appreciation and ability against all technical elements of the role with an ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively. 

This position requires a personal style that focuses on working hard to deliver results, seeking a self starter who can use their initiative to deal with a variety of issues, demonstrating effective time management, organisational skills and problem-solving ability. With excellent communication and analytical skills you will build up effective rapport with others both internally and externally with the ability to communicate complex technological solutions in simple terms with outstanding attention to detail.

You will have real passion for delivering great websites, working to the challenge of specific schedules and deadlines. You will show commitment, energy and enthusiasm in your work to become a key influencer in the business, adept at coming up with ideas that will make a real impact central to the company’s future online developments.  

Specific skills include: PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Postreql or MySQL, Photoshop skills, Linux administration experience, Apache2, Version control systems, DNS management and ngink. 

You will need to demonstrate sound experience of most if not all of the above programmes.
 
Benefits
A generous salary ranging between £24k and £28k depending on experience is on offer. The company has health and pension schemes in place along with a substantial bonus scheme that allows up to an additional 30% of salary.
