Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a global sourcing and supply company specialising in Retail Fixtures and POP Displays. With extensive retail experience our client develops ‘total supply-chain’ solutions throughout numerous regions of the world; designing, sourcing and managing bespoke display projects and fixture roll-outs.

As part of the company’s ongoing growth they are looking to recruit an experience Project Buyer to become a key contributor and beneficiary to its’ continued success. 

Through close liaison with Sales, Design and when required the customer, you will ensure the successful completion of all projects on time and to budget to meet and exceed where possible both client and company standards. To take ownership of specific key projects you will cover all operational issues following design conception through to completion and delivery of the tangible product to the client.  

This will include the handling of all new enquires that come into the business as well as the management of relevant key projects including prototyping, production and logistics. You will be expected to maintain financial control throughout ensuring appropriate quality assurance is maintained, planning and overseeing on-site supervision of work in progress, where necessary.

As part of your role you will work with the Operations Director, to lead new supplier selection, development and performance initiatives on a world wide basis, also offering ongoing support as a source of advice to others on the external processes and services managed.
 
Qualifications

An experienced buyer, you will be CIPS qualified to level 4 or above and/or BA (Hons) or HND in Business and Finance.

From previous roles you will have gained direct experience of managing both domestic and over-seas suppliers. Experience in the far Eastern supply market would be desirable, with knowledge of Export/Import documentation with a language proficiently such as mandarin highly advantageous.

Our client will consider candidates with 5years minimum working experience within a similar environment. You will be seen to demonstrate a good appreciation of the relevant manufacturing processes.

Personnel qualities will include a good eye to detail with excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
