Knight takes up 100% Design Director role
Media 10, the new owner of interiors exhibition 100% Design, has appointed William Knight as the show’s event director.
Knight joins from his previous role as deputy director of the London Design Festival.
“I’m delighted to have the opportunity to be taking on the role of event director, 100% Design at a critical moment in its history,” said Knight.
“Media 10 and I share an ambition to develop and grow the show, building on what it has achieved and taking it to the next stage.”
Media 10 purchased 100% Design from Reed Exhibitions earlier this month and revealed plans for the trade show’s facelift.
The organiser’s design portfolio director Daren Newton backed Knight’s experience in the sector.
“William’s experience of mounting campaigns and complex events programmes, as well as engaging the design sector, press, opinion formers and wider audiences, will be a huge asset to Media 10 and specifically to the newly acquired 100% Design,” he said.
Knight began his career as a researcher in the House of Commons before joining the Design Council as public affairs manager.
After joining the London Design Festival, he was named as one of the ‘Hot 50’ influential figures within the design industry by Design Week in 2009.
